SENIOR TRANSLATOR

Pay Scale: 9300 – 34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/- (General, Central Service Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted)
Educational Qualifications: (i) Mater’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at Degree level OR Master’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent in English with Hindi as a subject at Degree level OR Master’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with Hindi and English as subjects at Degree level OR Master’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with Hindi medium and English as a subject at Degree level OR Master’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with English medium and Hindi as a subject at Degree level. (ii) Three years’ experience of terminological work in Hindi and/or Translation work from English to Hindi or vice versa preferably of technical or scientific literature OR Three years’ experience of teaching, research, writing or journalism in Hindi
Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge at the level of Matriculation of a recognized Board or equivalent of one of the Languages other than Hindi which are included in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
